Membership

Becoming A Lion

Are you passionate about what we're doing? Let us know! We are always looking for new members to help us make our vision a reality. We'll help you find a way to volunteer that best suits you. We're excited to have you join the team!

Membership within our service organization provides men and women the opportunity to not only serve their community, but to grow professionally and individually. These are important benefits for everyone involved: the Stow-Munroe Falls Lions Club, your employer, the people with whom we serve within our communities, your family, friends and of course YOU!

Be part of a worldwide organization and carry out community and humanitarian projects. You have the opportunity to develop leadership skills and to grow personally by participating within our programs, community service projects and events.

What is Expected of our Members?

How much time will it take?

Members are asked to attend regular, bi-weekly meetings to plan and conduct business - which are held the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month. We have an interesting speaker during one of these meetings, and the meeting usually lasts between one and one and one-half hours.

Being a Lion is a great opportunity to get to  know and develop personal and professional relationships with people within our communities. We understand your priorities and how precious your time is today. For this reason, many of our activities are events in which the entire family may participate and our activities are planned to fit many schedules.

What are the costs

Lions Club International requires a modest initiation fee, and the Stow-Munroe Falls Lions Club has a nominal annual dues of $80.00, (which can be made in two installments) while each member pays for his/her own dinner (dinner is optional) at our meetings.

Please see the tab Community Projects to see the types of  services and activities the Lions provide to our communities.

Below is a brief description of a recent project to honor our police and fire departments.

Dedication and excellent service  to the residents of Stow and Munroe Falls needs to be recognized, especially during these most difficult times.  The Stow Munroe Falls Lions Club recognized the Police and Fire personnel for their service by providing goodies/snacks to each location.  WE APPRECIATE ALL OF THEM!
